Healing Needed Now More than Ever

In a world that often feels fractured by conflict, disease, and fear, the need for healing is both urgent and universal. Yet healing, in its truest sense, is not merely physical. It is a deep, spiritual restoration—a realization of our alignment with divine Truth and Love. From a Christian Science perspective, this healing is not only possible but divinely natural.

Christian Science, discovered and founded by Mary Baker Eddy in the 19th century, teaches that healing comes through understanding God’s allness and man’s spiritual nature as His reflection. As Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, “Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need” (p. 494). This assurance is not theoretical—it is based on the practical healing work of Christ Jesus, which Eddy affirmed was not miraculous, but demonstrable law.

Now, more than ever, we need to turn wholeheartedly to God. In Psalms 46:1, the Bible reminds us: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” This “very present help” is not bound by time, space, or human limitation. It is the ever-available power of Spirit, speaking to human consciousness and lifting thought out of fear, disease, and despair.

Our world may seem chaotic, but Christian Science teaches that beneath the seeming turmoil, divine harmony remains intact. Mrs. Eddy writes, “The calm and exalted thought or spiritual apprehension is at peace. Thus the dawn of ideas goes on, forming each successive stage of progress” (Science and Health, p. 506). Each healing—whether individual or collective—is evidence of that dawning spiritual light.

One doesn’t need to be a medical expert or a religious scholar to experience this healing. Christian Science encourages spiritual self-examination, prayer, and the study of the Bible and Science and Health as pathways to understanding God and experiencing transformation. The Christ, which Jesus embodied and which Eddy defines as “the divine manifestation of God, which comes to the flesh to destroy incarnate error” (Science and Health, p. 583), is present to guide and heal each of us today.

In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus assures us: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). That invitation is timeless. Whether we are facing physical illness, mental stress, grief, or societal division, the Christ is here—offering comfort, clarity, and cure.

Healing is not wishful thinking. It is the natural result of spiritual understanding and trust in God’s unchanging goodness. As we collectively and individually turn to divine Love, we can witness healing in our lives and in the world around us.
The time for healing is now. The world needs it. We need it. And through the ever-present Christ, it is here for us—freely, powerfully, eternally.

To recognize this ever-presence is not merely comforting; it is transformative. It changes how we experience our days, our relationships, and even our challenges.

Trusting Divine Mind in Times of Uncertainty

In a world that often feels unpredictable—the question arises: Where do we place our trust? Within the teachings of Christian Science, the answer is clear : we are called to trust Divine Mind, another name for God, as the only true source of intelligence, stability, and harmony.

In Christian Science, God is understood not as a distant figure, but as ever-present, all-knowing Mind—governing all creation with precision and love.
