Strengthen Your Spirit

by | May 4, 2018 | Talks that Inspire

There are so many things going on in our day to day lives that it’s easy to get overwhelmed and fed up with everything that comes with our daily routine. From moms running around taking their kids to and from school and soccer practice to young adults trying to find their way in a very confusing and chaotic world, everyone is going through something that is challenging them and potentially wearing them down both mentally, physically and emotionally.

It’s important to slow down and take time to take care of yourself, but we know that’s not an easy thing to do, especially when you have others relying on you. Don’t feel ashamed or discouraged if your spirit is feeling like it needs a little pick me up. Here are some simple things that you can do to strengthen your spirit to experience a spiritual healing and enlightenment that will propel you to new levels of life.

Spiritual Healing and Strengthening Tips

Surround yourself with positive people – This may sound simple, but you would be surprised how many people hang out with people that are not good for their spirit. If you were to take inventory of your closest friends and people that you spend your time with, are they uplifting you and building your spirit up or are they contributing to negativity in your life? When we are around people that encourage us to be our best selves, we can start the process of spiritual healing. Try to weed out any negativity that is a burden on you, no matter how small. Your spirit will thank you.

Try something that scares you–Spiritual healing requires strength training, and in order to build strength, we have to get outside our comfort zones. That may mean trying a new food you have never tried. It may also mean being vulnerable with someone in a way you never have before. If you never step outside your comfort zone, you don’t grow and you certainly don’t get stronger.

We grow in the face of adversity, so don’t be discouraged if a patch of adversity has got you down. Know that you are meant for bigger things than you can even imagine and you are capable of doing things that you don’t even think are possible.

Experience Inspired Talks – Sometimes, we need to seek spiritual enlightenment in order to get the spiritual healing that we really need to succeed. It’s ok to search for answers outside of yourself and study different perspectives that can bring both a deeper healing and a stronger sense of enlightenment. Sometimes all your spirit needs isfor someone to say something that touches you so profoundly, it inspires you to take a leap of faith.

Believe it or not, we are all capable of achieving peace and spiritual healing. As you open your mind to different perspectives, you open your heart too. Attending one of our inspired talks in Lake Tahoe can help you to break down the barriers and walls that are keeping you from the spiritual healing you need.

Finding Strength in the Storm: How We Can Weather Severe Weather with Faith and Hope

We had a “big” winter here at Lake Tahoe. Roofs collapsed under the weight of months of snowfall. There were daily traffic accidents and road delays because of the relentless ice and snow. Severe weather events like this extreme winter, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, and wildfires can be frightening and devastating. In the face of such natural disasters, it can be helpful to turn to Christian Science principles for comfort and guidance. These principles can help us understand that God’s love and protection are always with us, even in the midst of challenging circumstances.
